Hummus – Kerstin’s AMAZING hummus!
Ingredients
- 1 ½ C. of Canned Chick Peas drained and rinsed, or cooked from dried beans
- ¼ C. Tahini sesame paste
- 3 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
- 3 Tbsp. Olive Oil
- 2-3 Cloves Garlic minced
- ¼ tsp. Hot Sauce
- ½ tsp. Ground Cumin optional
- ½ tsp. Salt
- Parprika or Za'atar for garnishing to serve
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a food processor and puree.
- Place in bowl or on a platter, sprinkle with paprika or Za'atar (see below)
- Serve with pita wedges, chips and chopped veggies.
Notes
Za’atar is a Middle Eastern spice blend made usually of dried herbs (such as thyme or marjoram), dried sumac, and sesame seeds.
