Chicken in Whipping Cream
Ingredients
- 6 Whole Chicken Breast or 12-16 boneless chicken thighs – halved – boned and skinned
- 1 1/2 pt Whipping Cream
- 3 + Cloves Garlic minced
- 2 Medium Cans Mushrooms drained or 1 1/4 Lb. Fresh sautéed mushrooms
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Dust chicken in flour, brown lightly in oil.
- Cool on paper towels.
- Pour cream in large baking dish.
- Add garlic, mushrooms, salt and pepper.
- Add chicken and stir.
- Marinate at least 2-3 hours.
- Cover in the refrigerator.
- Best if marinated overnight.
- Bake 325 degrees uncovered for at least an hour.
- Stir every 15 minutes.
- May be reheated, but slowly.
- Good served with Uncle Ben’s long grain and wild rice mixture, with creamy sauce spooned over this.
