Chicken in Whipping Cream

Ingredients
  

  • 6 Whole Chicken Breast or 12-16 boneless chicken thighs – halved – boned and skinned
  • 1 1/2 pt Whipping Cream
  • 3 + Cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 Medium Cans Mushrooms drained or 1 1/4 Lb. Fresh sautéed mushrooms
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Dust chicken in flour, brown lightly in oil.
  • Cool on paper towels.
  • Pour cream in large baking dish.
  • Add garlic, mushrooms, salt and pepper.
  • Add chicken and stir.
  • Marinate at least 2-3 hours.
  • Cover in the refrigerator.
  • Best if marinated overnight.
  • Bake 325 degrees uncovered for at least an hour.
  • Stir every 15 minutes.
  • May be reheated, but slowly.
  • Good served with Uncle Ben’s long grain and wild rice mixture, with creamy sauce spooned over this.
