Caramel Sauce
The perfect topping for ice cream, apples, or chocolate tarts.
Ingredients
- 1/2 C. Butter
- 1 C. Brown Sugar
- 2/3 C. Heavy Cream
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- In heavy-bottomed saucepan, over medium heat, melt butter then add sugar; whisk until combined and thickened, about 2 minutes.
- Whisk in cream until thoroughly combined, about another 2 minutes.
- Stir in extract and remove from heat.
- Will thicken as it cools in the refrigerator.
