Rhubarb Crisp
Ingredients
Base:
- 6 C. Rhubarb or other fruit or berries – diced or sliced
- 2 Tbsp. Flour
- 1 C. Sugar use less sugar for sweeter fruits or berries
- 1 zest Orange or 1-2 tsp cinnamon – grated
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
Topping:
- 1 1/3 C. Butter
- 1 1/3 C. Flour
- 1 1/2 C. Brown Sugar
- 1 1/2 C. Rolled Oats old-fashioned or quick
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 C. Chopped Nuts or more – optional
Instructions
- Combine: rhubarb, flour, sugar, orange zest and salt.
- Spread in a greased 9×13″ pan.
- Sprinkle with topping mix of: butter, flour, brown sugar, rolled oats, salt, chopped nuts.
- (this recipe makes way more topping than you will need even if you like lots of topping! It freezes well for use on lots of other things too)
- Bake at 350°F for about 40 minutes or till golden brown and bubbly in the middle.
