Applesauce Cake

Applesauce Cake

Makes 13×9″ or 2 – 9×9″ pans.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 C. Sugar
  • 1 C. Butter
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 3-4 C. Cooled Applesauce
  • 2 heaping tsp. Baking Soda
  • 1 C. Water
  • 2 Tbsp. Vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. Salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Cloves ground
  • 1 Tbsp. Cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. Ginger
  • 2 Tbsp. Cocoa
  • 2 C. Raisins
  • 4 1/2 C. Flour sifted

Instructions
 

  • Cream together: Sugar and butter.
  • Add: Eggs and cooked applesauce.
  • Dissolve Baking Soda in water and add to the first mixture.
  • Then add: Vanilla, Salt, Clove, Cinnamon, Ginger and cocoa.
  • Lastly, add: Raisins and flour. Mix to combine.
  • Use large size bowl. bake 350°F 45-50 minutes. Test center with toothpick.
  • Makes 13x9x2 and 9x9x2 pans well greased and floured.
  • ~Optional: Add Coconut Flakes~
