Ingredients
  

Cake

  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 C Sugar
  • 2 C Cake Flour
  • 1 tsp Cloves Ground
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon Ground
  • 1 tsp Nutmeg Ground
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 1 Can Tomato Soup (10 oz)
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 C Raisins or Chopped Walnuts or Pecans OPTIONAL

Creamy Frosting

  • 1 pkg Cream Cheese (3 oz)
  • 3 tbsp Milk
  • 3 C Confectionary Sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 oz Baker's Chocolate (or Dark) melted (OPTIONAL)

Instructions
 

Tomato Soup Cake

  • Preheat Oven to 350°
  • Cream Butter and Sugar
  • Combine dry ingredients and sift
  • Add Baking Soda to undiluted Tomato Soup
  • Slowly combine dry ingredients with Soup and Soda mixture
  • Pour into greased loaf pan (approx 8.5×4.5)
  • Bake 50-60 min
  • Allow to cool completely before frosting.

Creamy Chocolate Frosting

  • Mash Cheese
  • Add Milk gradually beating until blended
  • Add Sugar gradually, beating until smooth
  • Add melted Chocolate, salt, vanilla, Beat Until Smooth
