Rice
Short or Medium(Calrose), or Jasmine Rice-
Ingredients
- 1 1/4-1 1/2 C. Water less water=firmer rice
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1 C. Rice
Instructions
- Bring water, salt and rice to a boil in a heavy pan; cover and reduce heat to simmer for 25 minutes or until moisture is absorbed and there are holes in the rice.
- Do not uncover while cooking.
- Remove from heat and let stand covered for 10 minutes. Fluff rice with a fork and serve.
Notes
If using a rice cooker, use 1 1/2 c. rice, 2 c. water, 1 tsp salt.
