Basmati Rice
Ingredients
- 1 C. Basmati Rice
- 2 C. Water
- 1 Tbsp. Oil
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
Instructions
- Rinse measured rice 1-2 times to remove extra starch; drain.
- Place washed rice in a heavy saucepan, add measured water, oil and salt.
- Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, until water is reduced to slightly below the rice level, then reduce heat to a simmer, cover and simmer 20 minutes.
- Do not uncover while cooking.
- Fluff with fork and serve.
Notes
If using a rice cooker, follow same directions.
