Tea Biscuits

“Is it even tea time without a good biscuit with jam?”

Ingredients
  

  • 2 C. Flour
  • 1/4 C. Butter
  • 1 ½ Tbsp. White Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 C. Crisco
  • 4 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 C. Milk

Instructions
 

  • Mix dry ingredients together and rub in the butter with your fingers.
  • Combine eggs and milk and add to dry mixture to form soft dough.
  • Knead as little as possible on lightly floured board.
  • Roll out dough to 1/2” thick and cut into desired shapes.
  • Bake 450° 12-15minutes.
