Alfredo Sauce – Kerstin’s version

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • Minced Garlic optional – as much as your heart desires
  • 2 Tbsp. Flour
  • 1/2 C. Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 C. Strong Chicken Stock
  • Parmesan Cheese freshly grated
  • Black and White Pepper
  • Fresh Basil chopped

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter and lightly brown the garlic.
  • Add the flour and stir while cooking for 1 minute.
  • Add cream and chicken stock and simmer, stirring constantly, to make and keep a smooth and silky consistency.
  • Add cheese and seasonings to taste, stirring well after each addition.
  • Heat gently till hot.
  • Pour over your favorite pasta or pasta replacement. I really like it over “zoodles” or angel hair pasta.
  • Garnish with fresh basil.
