Alfredo Sauce – Kerstin’s version
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. Butter
- Minced Garlic optional – as much as your heart desires
- 2 Tbsp. Flour
- 1/2 C. Heavy Cream
- 1/2 C. Strong Chicken Stock
- Parmesan Cheese freshly grated
- Black and White Pepper
- Fresh Basil chopped
Instructions
- Melt butter and lightly brown the garlic.
- Add the flour and stir while cooking for 1 minute.
- Add cream and chicken stock and simmer, stirring constantly, to make and keep a smooth and silky consistency.
- Add cheese and seasonings to taste, stirring well after each addition.
- Heat gently till hot.
- Pour over your favorite pasta or pasta replacement. I really like it over “zoodles” or angel hair pasta.
- Garnish with fresh basil.
