Basmati Rice

Ingredients
  

  • 1 C. Basmati Rice
  • 2 C. Water
  • 1 Tbsp. Oil
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt

Instructions
 

  • Rinse measured rice 1-2 times to remove extra starch; drain.
  • Place washed rice in a heavy saucepan, add measured water, oil and salt.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, until water is reduced to slightly below the rice level, then reduce heat to a simmer, cover and simmer 20 minutes.
  • Do not uncover while cooking.
  • Fluff with fork and serve.

Notes

If using a rice cooker, follow same directions.
