Cherry Pie – Canandaigua

Ingredients
  

  • Pastry for Two-Crust Pie
  • 1 1/3 C. Sugar
  • 4 drops Almond Extract
  • 1/3 C. Flour
  • 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon optional
  • 4 C. Sour Pie Cherries Fresh

Instructions
 

  • Line 9” pie pan with bottom crust. Mix remaining ingredients together gently, then spread in crust; add top crust, cutting air vents.
  • Bake at 425°F until crust is nicely browned and juice begins to bubble through vents, about 35-45 minutes.
  • Serve slightly warm, not hot.
