Fresh Blackberry Pie – Grammy’s Version
Kerstin's favorite pie!
Ingredients
- Pie Shell Baked
- 5 C. Cleaned Berries divide
- 3/4 C. Sugar
- 2 1/3 Tbsp. Cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
- 1 C. Water
Instructions
- Fill baked pie shell with cleaned berries.
- Blend or put 1 cup berries through a sieve.
- Add: sugar, cornstarch, salt and water to the smashed berries.
- Cook 10-15 minutes till thickened and clear.
- Pour this over the berries in the pie shell.
- Chill 3-4 hours.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream.
