Oatmeal-Raisin Drop Cookies
Makes about 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
Ingredients
- 1/2 C. Shortening
- 1 1/4 C. Sugar
- 2 large Eggs
- 1/3 C. Molasses
- 1 3/4 C. Flour
- 1 tsp. Baking Soda
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1 tsp. Cinnamon
- 2 C. Rolled Oats at least part old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 C. Walnuts Coarsely Chopped – optional
- 1 C. Raisins
Instructions
- Mix shortening, sugar, eggs and molasses thoroughly.
- Stir dry ingredients together; blend in.
- Stir in oats, nuts and raisins.
- Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2” apart on lightly greased baking sheet.
- Bake at 400°F for 6-8 minutes or until just set and very lightly browned; transfer from baking sheets to cooling racks to cool.
