Raisin Pie – Grandma Gracie’s version
Ingredients
- 3 C. Raisins
- 1 C. Sugar
- 1 tsp. Lemon Juice
- 2 Tbsp. Butter
- 3 Tbsp. Cornstarch
- pinch Salt
- Water
Instructions
- Cover raisins with water and cook until well plumped and soft. Mix together the sugar, lemon juice, butter, cornstarch and salt, then add enough water to make into a paste; add to plumped raisins and cook for a few minutes more.
- Let cool and put in prepared pie shell of your choice and cover with full or lattice pie crust top.
- Bake at 375°F till golden brown.
