Russian Teacakes

Makes about 45-48 1″ cookies.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 C. Butter or Margarine
  • 1/2 C. Confectioners Sugar Sifted
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 2 1/4 C. Gold Meal Flour
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • 3/4 C. Nuts Chopped

Instructions
 

  • Mix butter, sugar and vanilla thoroughly. Measure flour by dipping method, or by sifting.
  • Stir flour and salt together; blend in.
  • Mix in nuts.
  • Chill dough.
  • Heat oven to 400°F. Roll dough in 1” balls. Place on un-greased baking sheet. (cookies do not spread).
  • Bake at 400°F. for 10-12 minutes or until set but not brown.
  • While still warm, rollin confectioners sugar.
  • Cool and roll in sugar again.
