Sweet Cornbread

The perfect side for a piping hot bowl of chili.
"No-one makes cornbread quite like you do mother!" 😉

Ingredients
  

  • 3/4 C. Sugar
  • 1/2 C. Oil
  • 2 Eggs Beaten
  • 1 C. Milk
  • 1 1/2 C. Flour
  • 1 1/2 C. Yellow Cornmeal
  • 1 Tbsp. Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt

Instructions
 

  • Blend together:
  • Sugar, Oil, Eggs and milk.
  • Add to the above mixture:
  • Flour, Yellow Cornmeal, Baking Powder and Salt.
  • Mix well.
  • Bake in greased and flowed 9”x9” pan (or bread pan). 400° for 30 minutes.
  • Test with toothpick.
  • cover tightly with foil until cool enough to eat.
