Sweet Cornbread
The perfect side for a piping hot bowl of chili."No-one makes cornbread quite like you do mother!" 😉
Ingredients
- 3/4 C. Sugar
- 1/2 C. Oil
- 2 Eggs Beaten
- 1 C. Milk
- 1 1/2 C. Flour
- 1 1/2 C. Yellow Cornmeal
- 1 Tbsp. Baking Powder
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
Instructions
- Blend together:
- Sugar, Oil, Eggs and milk.
- Add to the above mixture:
- Flour, Yellow Cornmeal, Baking Powder and Salt.
- Mix well.
- Bake in greased and flowed 9”x9” pan (or bread pan). 400° for 30 minutes.
- Test with toothpick.
- cover tightly with foil until cool enough to eat.
