Taco Salad – Mexican Chef’s Salad
One of my favorite summer meals; makes my mouth water just thinking about it.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Ground Beef
- 1 15oz can Kidney Beans drained
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
- 1 Onion chopped
- 4 Tomatoes chopped
- 1 Head Lettuce shredded
- 4 oz. Cheddar Cheese shredded
- 8 oz. French Dressing or 1000 Island Dressing
- Tortilla Chips plain or taco flavored
Instructions
- Brown beef in a skillet and season with salt then add kidney beans.
- Cook for about 10 minutes until beef is cooked and beans are tender.
- In a large bowl, toss, onion, tomatoes, lettuce and cheese together with salad dressing. Add crushed-up tortilla chips.
- Mix cold salad and hot ground beef together; serve immediately.
