Tea Biscuits
“Is it even tea time without a good biscuit with jam?”
Ingredients
- 2 C. Flour
- 1/4 C. Butter
- 1 ½ Tbsp. White Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 C. Crisco
- 4 tsp. Baking Powder
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1/2 C. Milk
Instructions
- Mix dry ingredients together and rub in the butter with your fingers.
- Combine eggs and milk and add to dry mixture to form soft dough.
- Knead as little as possible on lightly floured board.
- Roll out dough to 1/2” thick and cut into desired shapes.
- Bake 450° 12-15minutes.
