Ingredients
Cake
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1 C Sugar
- 2 C Cake Flour
- 1 tsp Cloves Ground
- 1 tsp Cinnamon Ground
- 1 tsp Nutmeg Ground
- ¼ tsp Salt
- 1 Can Tomato Soup (10 oz)
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 C Raisins or Chopped Walnuts or Pecans OPTIONAL
Creamy Frosting
- 1 pkg Cream Cheese (3 oz)
- 3 tbsp Milk
- 3 C Confectionary Sugar
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 2 oz Baker's Chocolate (or Dark) melted (OPTIONAL)
Instructions
Tomato Soup Cake
- Preheat Oven to 350°
- Cream Butter and Sugar
- Combine dry ingredients and sift
- Add Baking Soda to undiluted Tomato Soup
- Slowly combine dry ingredients with Soup and Soda mixture
- Pour into greased loaf pan (approx 8.5×4.5)
- Bake 50-60 min
- Allow to cool completely before frosting.
Creamy Chocolate Frosting
- Mash Cheese
- Add Milk gradually beating until blended
- Add Sugar gradually, beating until smooth
- Add melted Chocolate, salt, vanilla, Beat Until Smooth
