Caramel Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 C. Butter
  • 1 C. Brown Sugar
  • 2/3 C. Heavy Cream
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

Instructions
 

  • In heavy-bottomed saucepan, over medium heat, melt butter then add sugar; whisk until combined and thickened, about 2 minutes.
  • Whisk in cream until thoroughly combined, about another 2 minutes.
  • Stir in extract and remove from heat.
  • Pour into a heat safe container.
  • Will thicken as it cools in the refrigerator.
