Butter Tarts – Grandma Sylvia’s recipe
Dad's favorite raisin/butter tarts
Ingredients
- 2 large Eggs
- 2 C. Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 C. Melted Butter or Margarine
- Raisins or Currants – optional
- Walnuts chopped small – optional, our Dad prefers them without nuts
- 24 Pie Crust Tart Shells
Instructions
- Fill shells with raisins, if using (not too full).
- Pour above mixture over raisins; sprinkle with chopped nuts, if using.
- Bake at 450° F for 10 minutes, then lower temperature to 350° F and bake for an additional 15-25 minutes till set and golden.
