Best Ever Scones

Ingredients

C.
All-Purpose Flour
1/3
C.
Sugar
1
Tbsp.
Baking Powder
1/2
tsp.
Salt
1/2
C.
Cold Butter
cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1
C.
Whipping Cream
divided
Wax Paper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Stir Together first 4 ingredients in a large bowl.
Cut butter into four mixture with pastry knife until crumbly and mixture resembles small peas.
Freeze mixture for 5 minutes.
Add 3/4 C. plus 2 Tbsp. cream.
Stir just until dry ingredients and moistened.
Turn dough out onto wax paper; gently press or pat dough into a 7-inch round. (Dough is very crumbly)
Cut into 8 wedges.
Place wedges 2 inches apart on a lightly greased or lined baking sheet.
Brush tops of wedges with remaining 2 Tbsp. cream, just until moistened.
Bake at 450 for 13-15 minutes or until golden.
Notes
I like to add some course sugar on top of the scones before baking for some added texture and a pretty affect.
