Russian Teacakes
Makes about 45-48 1" cookies.
- 1 C. Butter or Margarine
- 1/2 C. Confectioners Sugar Sifted
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- 2 1/4 C. Gold Meal Flour
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
- 3/4 C. Nuts Chopped
Mix butter, sugar and vanilla thoroughly. Measure flour by dipping method, or by sifting.
Stir flour and salt together; blend in.
Mix in nuts.
Chill dough.
Heat oven to 400°F. Roll dough in 1” balls. Place on un-greased baking sheet. (cookies do not spread).
Bake at 400°F. for 10-12 minutes or until set but not brown.
While still warm, rollin confectioners sugar.
Cool and roll in sugar again.
