English Shortbread
Georgie's famous true English shortbread
- 8 oz. Butter
- 4 oz. Powdered Sugar
Cream together, then add:
- 8 oz. Flour
- 4 oz. Cornstarch
- pinch of Salt
Mix everything together.
Press into the bottom of a greased and lined 8x8 baking dish.
Bake at 350°F. for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Cut while warm.
Let cool on the counter.
Once cooled, store in airtight container for up to a week on the counter.
This recipe also works well for a shortbread tart crust.
