Beat together 1 C. sugar, 1 C. plus 2 Tbsp. butter, 6 egg yolks util creamy.
Add: 2 1/4 c. plus 3 Tbsp. flour, 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 1/4 tsp. salt to above creamed mixture and mix well.
In another bowl, beat the egg whites till stiff, then beat in 2 Tbsp sugar.
Fold this into the creamed mixture.
Then fold in: mixed glazed fruit, chopped walnuts, golden raisins.
Grease an angel food cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper, spreading the batter evenly in the pan.
Bake for 45 minutes at 350°F, then lower oven temperature to 300° and bake another 45 minutes.
Test with a toothpick for doneness.
