Cake
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1 C Sugar
- 2 C Cake Flour
- 1 tsp Cloves Ground
- 1 tsp Cinnamon Ground
- 1 tsp Nutmeg Ground
- ¼ tsp Salt
- 1 Can Tomato Soup (10 oz)
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 C Raisins or Chopped Walnuts or Pecans OPTIONAL
Creamy Frosting
- 1 pkg Cream Cheese (3 oz)
- 3 tbsp Milk
- 3 C Confectionary Sugar
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 2 oz Baker's Chocolate (or Dark) melted (OPTIONAL)
Tomato Soup Cake
Preheat Oven to 350°
Cream Butter and Sugar
Combine dry ingredients and sift
Add Baking Soda to undiluted Tomato Soup
Slowly combine dry ingredients with Soup and Soda mixture
Pour into greased loaf pan (approx 8.5x4.5)
Bake 50-60 min
Allow to cool completely before frosting.
Creamy Chocolate Frosting
Mash Cheese
Add Milk gradually beating until blended
Add Sugar gradually, beating until smooth
Add melted Chocolate, salt, vanilla, Beat Until Smooth
