Salt

Raisins

Instructions
Rinse oats well, drain. Combine rinsed oats, water, salt (and raisins, if using) in a large, heavy-bottomed pan or slow-cooker.
Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring frequently, until thick and creamy, about 30 minutes, (or several hours or overnight in a slow-cooker).
Serve hot with cream.
